We Now Carry Osprey Packs!

Osprey Longs PeakWe’ve been providing Northwest Arkansas with hiking and backpacking gear for more than 30 years, and we’re proud to say that our selection just got a little better. We’ve made a new addition to our pack wall, and we are now carrying Osprey packs for men and women!

Even if you aren’t into hiking or backpacking, you might be familiar with the Osprey name. Osprey has been making high quality hiking, cycling, and backpacking packs for more than 40 years. Mike Pfotenhauer founded Osprey in 1974, and still owns the Colorado-based company today. Pfotenhauer named Osprey after the then-endangered species, thinking that if the bird could survive the next few challenging years, so could his company. It turns out Mike was right, and both the company and the bird are thriving today.

Osprey packs have been featured in magazines and have won countless awards, but most importantly, Osprey packs have been put through their paces on mountains and trails, and have earned the trust of outdoor enthusiasts across the globe for more than four decades.

It’s the bells and whistles that earn awards – and Osprey has bells and whistles in spades – but frills don’t matter if the gear can’t get the job done. That’s what puts Osprey apart from other pack manufacturers. While Osprey packs have some great and innovative features, they are also built to be used rather than gawked at. It’s rare that packs be ingeniously designed, aesthetically pleasing, and burly to boot. All packs made by Osprey are designed to stand up to heavy use, but in the event that something does happen to fail on your pack, the company won’t leave you high and dry.

Osprey backs their packs with their aptly named All Mighty Guarantee. Here’s the exact wording of the guarantee from the Osprey website:

“Osprey will repair any damage or defect for any reason free of charge – whether it was purchased in 1974 or yesterday. If we are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, we will happily replace it. We proudly stand behind this guarantee, so much so that it bears the signature of company founder and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.”

We’re proud to carry these packs, and we know that you will love them. Stop by the store to check out our selection for men and women!
