Last Minute Spring Break Ideas

"Hammock" by Isa CostaBeen stuck in Fayetteville this week even though it’s Spring Break? Don’t worry, the weekend is here and you can escape for a little while, even if you can’t really get away. What should you do if you only have a few days of Spring Break and not a lot of time for a big trip? Why not get away from it all right here in Northwest Arkansas?

Buffalo River – There are plenty of great parks in the area. Head on out to the Buffalo for a weekend visit if you’re looking for a day trip—most campsites are probably full so you won’t be able to do an overnight trip but you can still spend all day out on the river or on the trail.

Hobbs State Conservation Area – A lot closer to home if you don’t want to drive as far, the park has lots of challenging trails worth visiting. Beaver Lake has great places to hang out by the water and just enjoy the scenery if you’re looking for something more relaxing.

Mount Kessler – Want to explore a new place that isn’t usually quite as crowded? Try Mt. Kessler. It’s just become part of the City of Fayetteville’s park properties. Grab a hammock and a book and hang in the breeze one afternoon for some R&R.

Anywhere – Just hop in your car and go for a drive down roads you’ve never been down before. You’re bound to discover something new and interesting that you’ve never seen and there are so many opportunities to enjoy nature all over Northwest Arkansas. We’re lucky to live in the most beautiful part of the state so go take advantage of it!

We’re open over Spring Break so if you need a hammock or some new Teva sandals to really enjoy Spring Break, don’t hesitate to come by.
