Support Small Businesses During Small Business Week

Uncle Sam's Safari OutfittersThis week we’re celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Small Business week. Originally created in 1963 by President Kennedy, Small Business Week is meant to highlight the contributions small businesses make to our country and communities. For every dollar you spend at a small business, more of it stays in your community than at national chains. And by spending money at local small businesses, you’re improving your community by creating jobs for your neighbors.

Here at Uncle Sam’s Safari Outfitters, we believe in keeping our Northwest Arkansas community strong. After all, outdoor activities are often about creating a community, whether going on group hikes or learning to trust your spotter when climbing. Without communities in the outdoor adventure lifestyle, we wouldn’t know about all the beautiful things that are hidden among the rough. Ask any outdoor enthusiast how they found out about their favorite spot or activity and they’ll likely tell you someone else introduced them to it. We love our customers like family and could spend hours talking about the latest trends in gear, our favorite things to do, or recommendations on places to experience.

If you’d like to support us as your your local community small outdoor gear and army surplus businesses this week, take a few minutes to leave a review. You can help spread the word about Uncle Sam’s being awesome at outfitting you for all your outdoor adventures by telling people about how great we are on Yelp, Google, or your favorite review site. You can even share our Facebook page or Twitter with your friends and family.

The best way to support local businesses, however, is to shop! We’ve got new products in for summer so be sure to come check out what we have to offer, pick up a few new things you’ve been itching to get your hands on, and get outside.
