Top Ten Spring Break Trips

Perito-Moreno-Glacier-by-GesSpring Break is in full swing for University of Arkansas students as well as most area schools and while Gideon is out in Utah, we’re stuck here in Fayetteville dreaming up places we’d love to go. So here’s our top ten list of Spring Break locations the world over. These might not be the best budget friendly ideas ever but hey, while we’re dreaming, let’s dream big, right?

  1. Kayaking around Bay of Fundy, Prince Edward Island. The views are breathtaking formations of stone jutting out of water and with some of the highest tides in the world, it transforms as quickly as you can paddle.
  2. Pembrokeshire Coast Path in Wales. It’s a 300 mile path that meanders along the coast of Wales, making for some gorgeous green rolling hills cascading into waters teaming with seals.
  3. Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjord fjords in Norway. They’re on the UNESCO list of world heritage sites for a reason and provide ample opportunities for camping, hiking, rock climbing, and water sports.
  4. The Grand Canyon. Going from the rim to the bottom and back up again is an adventure of a lifetime that graces the bucket list of many backpacking enthusiasts. We agree!
  5. Verdon Gorge in France. 25 kilometers of emerald green water and steep cliffs on either side mean some really innovative rock climbing adventures.
  6. Iguazú National Park, Argentina. A massive waterfall, toucans, hummingbirds, and an awesome hike? Yes!
  7. Cueva de los Cristales, Mexico. This cave contains the largest crystals ever found, some as long as 11 meters. We’re talking bigger than our really big backpack crystals.
  8. Na Pali Coast, Kauai, Hawaii. This hike is up the side of lush old, volcanos in a relaxing and idllyic setting. Plus, it’s Hawaii so what’s not to love?
  9. Gran Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia. Before rain, it’s a salt flat like no other. After rain, it’s a mirror to the sky.
  10. Perito Moreno Glacier, Patagonia, Argentina. Glaciers might not be around a whole lot longer, which is why it’s number 1 on our list.

Of course, we can help you get all the gear you need to go on the trip of a lifetime. While we’re stuck here in Fayetteville dreaming of where we’d like to go, we’d like to know your dream trip or what’s on your bucket list!
